Who can apply?

To be eligible to apply, applicants must:

  • Be currently enrolled as a full-time student in a Bachelor’s degree for the academic year
  • Be in your 2nd year of study at an accredited university in Asia Pacific country when completing the scholarship program

In order to encourage and support students in becoming future leaders in computing and technology, Google’s education and scholarship initiatives work to remove obstacles standing in their way. They have worked with EmployAbility, a nonprofit that aids students with disabilities as they pursue education and lucrative employment, as part of their commitment to assist university students with disabilities in achieving their academic objectives in the field of computer science. For the academic year, chosen students will receive a prize of 7,000 EUR (or the equivalent in their home country).

Who can apply?

To be eligible to apply, applicants must:

  • Be currently enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student at a university for the academic year

Terms and conditions

The Google Europe Students with Disabilities Scholarship is open to qualified students who meet the eligibility criteria. Students with disabilities interested in computer science are strongly encouraged to apply.

The scholarship award must be spent on tuition, fees, books, supplies, and equipment required for the students’ classes at their primary university. Scholarship recipients must be enrolled as full-time students for the 2022-2023 academic year.

Enrollment will be verified after the winners are selected, and all scholarship payments will be made directly to the student to be used towards tuition and education-related expenses. Google will withhold the award for any scholar who no longer meets the eligibility requirements and revoke the award for any scholar who does not maintain the eligibility requirements.

Selected recipients will receive instructions from Google on how to receive the award. Failure to complete these steps by the specified deadline will disqualify recipients from receiving the award. Recipients may defer their award for up to one (1) year from the time of originally planned payment on a case by case basis as determined by Google.

Google employees are not eligible to apply for Google scholarships. Persons who are (1) residents of embargoed countries, (2) ordinarily resident in embargoed countries, or (3) otherwise prohibited by applicable export controls and sanctions programs may not apply for this scholarship.

As part of their commitment, they have partnered with Lime Connect, a nonprofit organization that supports students with disabilities while they pursue education and promising careers, to help university students with disabilities work toward their academic goals in the field of computer science.

Selected students will receive 10,000 USD (for those studying in the US) or 5,000 CAD (for those studying in Canada) for the 2022-2023 school year.

Generation Google is excited to announce a partnership with Stadia, Google’s all new gaming platform. We’re expanding our Scholarship Program to support students pursuing gaming degrees to advance gender equality in gaming.

Selected students will receive a 7,000 EUR award (or local equivalent) for the 2022-2023 academic year. Scholarships will be awarded based on the strength of each candidate’s impact on diversity, demonstrated leadership, and academic background.

The program is open to qualified students who meet all the minimum qualifications. Women interested in gaming are strongly encouraged to apply.

Who can apply?

To be eligible to apply for the Generation Google Scholarship: for women in gaming, applicants must:

Google’s Computer Science Summer Institute (CSSI)

Computer Science Summer Institute (CSSI) is a scholarship program offered by Google, all Participants are expected to start the program with three weeks of introduction to computer science for high school senior students who are passionate about technology.

However, the students will receive intensive, interactive, and fun that will inspire them to become future tech leaders and innovators. CSSI participants will have the first-hand experience to learn from Google engineers, and also to take a look at google most exciting technologies, and even develop your own apps that you will showcase at google local offices.

As part of the program, Google also awarded selected students to receive a one-time $10,000 academic scholarship for those who study in the US or 5,000 CAD for those who are studying in Canada.

CSSI Google Scholarship Eligibility and Requirements

All candidates must provide the following:

  • A senior high school student at the time of application,
  • Have the intention to be enrolled in a full-time bachelor program at the US or Canadian University
  • Have the intention to be enrolled in computer science, software engineering, computer engineering, or related area of the department
  • Demonstrate high motivation and be passionate about studying computer science
  • And able to attend everyday CSSI program.

The application must be submitted online, which include:

  • A high school transcript records
  • SAT or ACT scores (if applicable)
  • In response to multiple short answer questions, each response should be no more than 200 words.

The CSSI scholarship is also eligible to the international and African students as long as they have the intention to study in the US or Canada, there is no age restriction limit nor any prior experience with computer science required.

Also as long as the candidate demonstrates high interest and enthusiasm they are welcome to apply, and especially the students who are underrepresented in technology are encouraged to apply.

Women Techmakers Google Scholarship Program

Women Techmakers Google Scholarship program was previously known as the Google Anita Borg Memorial Scholarship program. This scholarship program honors Dr. Anita Borg’s legacy in her efforts to empower more women to take part in computing and technology and promote gender equality in the computer science discipline.

The program has been designed for women to get more involved in technology by building an online network for scholars recipients that will also enable them to share resources, continue supporting the global community of women, and collaborate with others to continue making the impact.

The program also provides the opportunity to connect with fellow scholars and Google mentors, while doing the program.

Requirements and Eligibility

North America

The selected scholar will receive $10,000 awards for those who study in the US and 5,000 CAD for the students who study in Canada.

The scholarship is open to qualified students and highly encourages women applicants to apply for the scholarship program.

The Generation Google Scholarship was established to help aspiring students pursuing computer science degrees excel in technology and become leaders in the field. Selected students will receive $10,000 USD (for those studying in the US) or $5,000 CAD (for those studying in Canada) for the 2022-2023 school year. The Generation Google Scholarship will be awarded based on the strength of each candidate’s commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, demonstrated leadership, and academic performance.

The program is open to students who meet all the minimum qualifications and we strongly encourage students that identify with groups historically excluded from the technology industry, including Women, Black/African American, Hispanic/Latinx, American Indian, Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander, to apply.

Applicants are not required to currently be enrolled in an Associates, Bachelors, Masters, or PhD program for the 2021-2022 academic year to apply. Google Conference & Travel Scholarships 2022

At Google, they think that in order to create tools that have the potential to transform the world, a variety of skills, backgrounds, and viewpoints are required. Everyone should have the chance to pursue a professional network, peer relationships, and a career in technology. to assist in removing obstacles that prohibit underrepresented groups in the tech sector from going to prestigious conferences.

Scholarship eligibility varies by region, so please review the information for your region. Scholarships will be awarded to the most qualified persons based on application review. Every applicant will be notified of their status according to the time frames specified for the region.

An award in the range of 1,000 – 3,000 USD that will cover conference registration, travel, accommodation and related expenses. The scholarship amount depends on the cost for the international conference.

Eligibility

While all qualified industry professionals and students are able to apply, we’ve designed our North American program to expose career opportunities to those who identify as historically excluded in tech. This includes those who identify as Women, Black/African American/Caribbean/WestIndies, Hispanic/Latinx, and Native American/First Nations.

In order to apply for the North America Google Conference Scholarship, you must fulfill the following eligibility requirements:

Eligibility for Africa

To be eligible for a scholarship to attend an international conference, applicants must:

  • Be a full-time student enrolled with a recognized university in Africa who is in need of conference travel funds.

 Launched in 2018, the Google Podcasts creator program provides independent audio makers from around the world with the resources, skills, and creative communities that make podcast production more productive and innovative – and a little less lonely.

Using the PRX Training Teams’ signature application of design thinking principles, this intensive, multi-week accelerator helps creators refine their ideas to create meaningful projects that serve their audiences. Our teams create novel solutions and workflows that inform and support their long-term sustainability goals.

This rigorous program fosters collaboration among peer creators resulting in vibrant global cohorts that learn to challenge each other, give constructive feedback, and grow together.

While Google’s first accelerators were open to podcasters of all stages, GPcp 2022 seeks to help mid-career podcasters “level up” with a renewed focus on business development, audience growth, optionality, video strategies, and long-term sustainability.
